Green Beans Poriyal

Green Beans Poriyal
                                                  All of us know that Green Beans contains dietry fibre, Vitamin A, B2 and B6, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese and Potassium. So it is necessary for everyone. Today we'll see how to prepare Green Beans Poriyal.
                                          
Ingredients
  • 1/4 KG of Green Beans
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 teaspoon of Sunflower Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Split Black Gram
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • Curry Leaves as you need
  • 1 teaspoon of Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • Salt as you wish
  • 2 pieces of Coconut Flesh

Preparation
  • Wash and cut the edges of Green Beans and remove the fibres inside the Beans.
  • Chop them into small pieces as shown in the picture above.
  • Heat Oil in a pan and add Mustard Seeds and Split Black Gram and wait till they start cracking.
  • When cracking add 2 Cloves of Smashed Garlic, Curry Leaves and Chopped Onions and fry them till Onions becomes Golden Brown.
  • Now add Chopped Grean Beans and some water for boiling purpose.
  • Add Red Chilly Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder and Salt as you need.
  • Close the lid of the pan and let the Green Beans to boil for 10 minutes in reduced flame till the Green Beans becomes tender.
  • Scraped Coconut should be added and saute it for a minute.
  • Green Beans Poriyal is ready
Serving
                             Green Beans Poriyal can be served with all combination of Rice such as Sambar Rice, Rasam Rice, Curd Rice and any rice combination.

Note : Add Water till Green Beans submerges in Water or the excess Water will spoil the Green Beans Poriyal. Incase you have added excess Water it can be fixed by adding Dry Gram Powder. This method can be used for any recipes to fix excess Water problem.
